CHITWAN, June 14: Education Minister and Government Spokesman Ganga Lal Tuladhar said Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal won’t resign unless an alternative to the present government.

If the Prime Minister resigns now, the country will be trapped in another crisis, he said talking to reporters at Bharatpur Airport on Tuesday.[break]

“Resignation is not the main issue. We all should gird up our loin to conclude peace process.”

Referring to the 13-point declaration issued by the gathering of district presidents of Nepali Congress, he said it will create doubts over further complexities surrounding peace process.

On a query of journalists, he said the government will not spare those involved in the attack on Biratnagar-based journalist Khilanath Dhakal, claiming that his party CPN-UML has not been giving political protection to the main accused Parashuram Basnet.
