It may be noted that different student unions are on strike since September 4, protesting the government´s decision to hike the prices of petroleum products.

They have been halting vehicular movement in the college area until 10:00 am in the morning daily as a part of the agitation.

During the meeting with the PM, the students´ delegation drew the PM´s attention towards the printing of Buddha image on shoes manufactured by an American company as well.

Similarly, they also demanded that pasting of indecent posters of Nepali films in the market area be stopped.

According to President of the Madhesi Students Forum ( Democratic) Kapileshwor Yadav, the PM has assured to ban the company´s products from importing into Nepal and to request the US government to take action against the company.

Similarly, the PM said that he would direct the bodies concerned to remove such posters of films from the public places today, said Yadav quoting the PM.
