He stressed that entire Nepali people should contribute to the promotion of tourism to the possible extent as there are abundant opportunities to develop our country as the prime destination of tourism in the world.
Tourism sector can be panacea to increase our economic growth rate to double digit in course of building a new Nepal as the tourism promotion is inextricably linked with the economic prosperity of the country, the Prime Minister added.
He also expressed commitment on the part of the government to provide with cooperation in the constructive role of the Foundation in the area of tourism promotion and social sector.
It will not be difficult to attain the goal if the political parties come up with unflinching resolution for peace and constitution, Prime Minister Khanal claimed, expressing confidence that economic promotion can be made with the peace process reaching to a logical conclusion.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister gave away Tendi Sherpa Educational Award to seven students pursuing education in Pasang Lyamu Sherpa Memorial College.
Foundation Chairperson Kripasur Sherpa presided over the program.
Pasang Lyamu road obstructed demanding compensation
