PM orders Home Ministry to send immediate relief to victims

KATHMANDU, March 24: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has directed Home Ministry to provide immediate relief and start work to rehabilitate those diplaced by Monday's fire in Fungling Bazar in Taplejung.

According to a press statement issued by the prime minister's press coordinator Prakash Adhikari, Prime Minister Koirala has expressed grief over the loss of properties and subsequent hardships faced by the people due to the massive fire.

The prime minister has also appealed to all including locals, local administration, political parties and other social organizations to work to provide relief and rehabilitate those displaced.

Prime Minister Koirala has also drawn attention of the concerned government bodies to work toward reducing the risk of sudden fire incidents by strictly implementing building codes.
