The prime minister held a consultation with the Nepali industrialists and businessmen included in his entourage after canceling the trip to Great Wall.
Rajan Bhattarai, foreign affairs advisor to the prime minister, said Prime Minister Nepal has already visited the Great Wall before and he held consultation with the Nepali industrialists and businessmen in his entourage in the time meant for the trip.
Most of the industrialists and businessmen from among 21businessmen said to be included in the prime minister´s entourage arrived in Beijing directly from Kathmandu on Monday.
Although the prime minister has cancelled his scheduled trip to the Great Wall, the other programmes in the itinerary are unchanged.
As per the schedule, Prime Minister Nepal will have a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Wen Jiabao this afternoon.
The prime minister will also attend a banquet to be organized in his honour by the Chinese premier this evening.
Prime Minister Nepal is to visit the White Stupa at Beijing this morning. The white stupa is built by Nepal´s artist Araniko. Araniko is Nepal´s national luminary.
The prime minister will also today visit the Tiananmen Square in the centre of Beijing and lay wreath at the mausoleum of the great leader of China, Mao Zedong.
Prime Minister Nepal arrived in Beijing from the historic city of Xian in the afternoon on Monday.
Prime Minister Nepal will call on the Chinese President Hu Jintao and chairman of the Chinese National People´s Congress, U. Pang on Wednesday evening.
