Former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, CPN-UML Vice-chair Bamdev Gautam, Home Minister Shakti Basnet, Chief of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lokman Singh Karki, Inspector General of Police Upendra Kant Aryal, among others, arrived at the residence and paid tribute to the late Koirala.

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is currently in Dhankuta district for a party program, is arriving Kathmandu in the afternoon cutting short his stay there.

Large number of NC party members, leaders from various political parties and well-wishers is gathered at the Koirala-residence since early morning. Crowds of people can be seen around the residence.

Meanwhile, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, U.S. Department of State, Nisha Biswal expressed her condolence on Koirala's death.
