In this connection, Prime Minister Koirala held a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe at the Jakarta conference centre here on Wednesday.During the meeting, matters relating to various aspects of Nepal-Japan relations were discussed, according to the PM's foreign affairs advisor Dr Dinesh Bhattarai. Prime Minister Koirala also thanked Japan government for its support to the socio-economic development endeavours of Nepal.
On the occasion, Japanese PM Abe said Japan wishes to see Nepal gain economic prosperity soon.
Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, acting Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi and Dr Bhattarai were also present during the meeting.
Earlier, PM Koirala had held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet today with President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wajed, President of Myanmar Thein Sein , Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and other distinguished guests here for the Asian-African conference.
