After the meeting, Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai said discussions were being held among parties on giving an outlet to the political stalemate by holding election by May end, 2013.

"We should seek consensus by keeping election in focus, and efforts for talks are being made for going to election within the date among parties," he said.

Bhattarai said he informed the president on efforts being made for consensus among parties.

On the occasion, President Dr. Yadav urged him to give an outlet to the existing political stalemate in the country by forging consensus at the earliest.
