PM calls for ending far-west agitation

KATHMANDU, May 7: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has called on ending agitation in far-western region that continued for past 10 days.



Saying that the agitation has affected normal life in far-western region, Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai via media appealed to call off general strike and shutdown following the meeting of three parties. [break]



The ongoing struggle that waged with the demand of undivided far-west is putting public life tougher, the Prime Minister said while calling agitating side to come into negotiation table after ending the agitation.



Prime Minister Bhattarai further said the stakeholders have been called for dialogue through authority concerned and via media.



´´Agitation is not the resolution to every problem. The government is committed to address the problems of far-west region in a scientific and practical manner´, the Prime Minister said.
