At a program organized on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Campus, the Prime Minister announced the establishment of the Fund in the name of his mother to provide scholarships to intelligent and poor students. [break]
He said he was able to experience what the importance of education is for women as his mother too was illiterate.
Prime Minister Bhattarai recalled that female teachers had given him early education and a female teacher was also a guide while doing PhD. and added that he is able to reach what he is today due to the support of the female teachers.
He assured that he will manage budget for the construction of a building of the campus in the next budget though a full-fledged budget could not be brought due to the transitional period.
Talking about the country´s politics, Bhattarai said a situation has come to run the government with his hands tied.
He complained that they have been compelled to run the government without budget as a full-fledged budget could not come due to obstruction of the opposition parties.
Chairman of the Campus Management Committee, Nripendra Nath Rimal, requested the Prime Minister for support for construction of the building.
Campus Chief, Bhola Nath Regmi, informed that students of 68 districts are studying in the campus.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of a 12-room building of the campus and also distributed certificates and letters of honour to the best students and former and incumbent members of the management committee.
