Plainclothes traffic cops make difference

KATHMANDU, Dec. 14: Plainclothes traffic police personnel have made a difference. Action has been taken against 1,640 people violating traffic rules in three days since they were deployed to address the problems seen in managing the capital´s notorious traffic.



The Traffic Police Division had started deploying plainclothes traffic police in the morning and evening on the capital´s busy roads since December 11.



This measure has helped ease the traffic and even the pedestrians have felt some relief, the Division stated.
