PHSC's reservations on envoy's appointment

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) on Wednesday decided to ask Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) if Canadian government had already given permission to open Nepali embassy there.



The Committee took a decision before concluding the hearing ambassador nominee to Canada Bhoj Raj Ghimire. The Committee made the decision as there was no meaning to send ambassador without confirming approval from the Canadian government to this effect, said a member of the Committee, Laxman Ghimire.



The next meeting of the Committee will be held on August 16. Nepal Government has already taken a decision to open a embassy in Canada.
