Peace, statute govt's main priority: Sunwar

BANKE, April 21: State Minister for Irrigation Dal Bahadur Sunwar said the government’s main priority is to take the peace process to its conclusion and promulgate the new constitution guaranteeing people’s rights.



Speaking at a function at Manikapur, Banke, on Thursday, he said together with peace and constitution development has to be prioritized.[break]



Sunwar, who arrived in his home district for the first time after becoming the State Minister for Irrigation, said he will take initiative to build a bride over Daduwa river, resume operation of Daduwa canal, gravel rural roads and built a picnic spot at Pashupatinagar.



On the occasion, local residents handed over a 10-point charter of demands to the State Minister.
