KATHMANDU, July 23: Nepali Congress prime minister nominee Ram Chandra Paudel said that he was hopeful of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) support in the prime ministerial election on Friday.
Speaking with reporters after a meeting with RPP-N chairman Kamal Thapa at Singha Durbar, Paudel said that the RPP-N was positive on supporting NC. [break]
Meanwhile, Thapa said that his party would hold talks as it could not reach to a conclusion on the pm election. He also said that their had to be a commitment from the parities to end the ongoing peace process to a logical end and draft the new constitution.
Paudel was accompanied by Arjun Narsingh KC and Minandra Rija, among others, in the meeting.
Unified CPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal who is also a prime minister nominee asked RPP-N to support him in the PM election on Thursday.
RPP-N commands four seats in the parliament.
