He urged the oppositions not to engage in debate unnecessarily as the government has no option but to bring ordinances to resume regular functions of the government and unknot the different problems during the absence of parliament.

Saying that some leaders were provoking the President to cross the constitutional limitations, Paudel said that the President should be given a chance to freely practice his role as the patron of the Interim Constitution 2063 B.S.

The Maoist leader also said that the Federal Democratic Republican Alliance (FDRA) was formed to create an environment for consensus among the parties and asked the oppositions that what type of government they were willing to accept if not the present one.

Nepali Congress spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu said that the country was plunging into moral crisis due to rising mistrust among the parties. Consensus government should be formed to end the political mistrust, he said.

He said the constituent assembly can be revived or new date of elections could be announced based on consensus.

Also speaking at the program, CPN (UML) leader Yogesh Bhattarai said that political parties should be clear whether the parties or the President should be active adding that another 12-point agreement was needed to end the political and constitutional crises.
