KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The meeting of the legislature-parliament has been called for 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The parliament meeting is called after three-week Dashain vacation.

Before the Dashain vacation, the parliament had not been able to meet due to Maoist obstructions.

The parliament has met ever since the Maoist-pled government was toppled in early May, except for a few days when the Maoists allowed the parliament to meet for budget presentation.

The government’s annual budget has not been passed by the parliament as the Maoists have not allowed the parliament to meet.

The main opposition UCPN-Maoist has been obstructing the House, demanding the rectification of the president’s move in the army chief. The party says the president’s move has violated civilian supremacy.
