Young tourism entrepreneurs, who are also paragliding pilots, said paragliding can be operated in the region anytime after continuous experiment of paragliding for last one year at Koldanda in PanchaKnaya VDC near Bhedetar.
"We have reached a conclusion that we can operate paragliding anytime after continuous experiment for last one year," Ram Rai, president of Paragliding Promotion Committee (PPC), who is also a pilot, said. "We have found a suitable geographical location and climate in Dharan."[break]
Lekh Mani Jimi, Desh Bir Jimi and Rai have been operating trial flight from Koldanda since the last one year. "We had to make trial flight for a long in order to know every possible details required to be known prior to operating paragliding in any particular geographical locations," Rai added.
Entrepreneurs including Rai and Jimi said that they were laying down infrastructure to start professional operation of paragliding in Dharan. "We will soon register a company to start paragliding here," Jimi said. "Paragliding is a adventurous sports and we want to make it a profession in Dharan and means of livelihood for many young people here."
