KATHMANDU, Aug 14: Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu marked the country's 69th Independence Day organizing a special function on Friday.
Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Arshad Saud Khosa hoisted the national flag to mark the Independence Day, according to a statement issued by Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu.

Embassy officials and their families along with the Pakistani community in Kathmandu took part in the ceremony. Separate messages of Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and Pakistani Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif were read out on the occasion.
While congratulating the nation on its independence day, Pakistani President Hussain said the progress that Pakistan is making in different sectors bode well for the country's economic future. Likewise, Prime Minister Sharif in his message emphasized the need to drive the country toward the course of economic development.
