PAC fails to discuss MRP deal

KATHMANDU, July 24: A meeting of parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) which was supposed to discuss controversy surrounding the Machine Readable Passport (MRP) deal with Oberthur Technology, a France based security printer, was postponed as most of the members failed to show up on Saturday.



It has been learnt that the members skipped the meeting saying they should not intervene the MRP deal. [break]



Only eight members of 63-member were present in the meeting.



16 members should be present in the meeting to hold the discussion.
