Altogether 60 players have been divided into five groups for the event.
Nepal Orange, led by Sharad Vesawkar, beat Nepal Grey of Shakti Gauchan, by seven wickets, while Nepal Red, captained by national team skipper Paras Khadka, beat Basant Regmi-led Nepal Green by 16 runs.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first at the Pulchowk Engineering College Ground, Nepal Grey was restricted on 137 in 35.1 overs after Sandeep Lamichhane bagged four wickets for Nepal Orange.
Pradeep Airee top scored 29 runs, while Ashish Dhami and Hasim Ansari added 28 runs each for Nepal Grey. Hasim cracked four fours and Ashish smashed three boundaries.
Sandeep gave away only 16 runs while bagging four wickets in 6.1 overs, while Avinash Karn and Manjeet Shrestha claimed two wickets each for Nepal Orange.
In reply, Nepal Orange chased 138 runs target in 34 overs losing three wickets as Anitm Thapa completed half century remaining not out on 51 runs and Rajesh Pulami hit unbeaten 45 runs. Antim's knock included a six and four boundaries off 63 balls, while Rajesh hit three fours as he faced 84 runs.
Antim and Rajesh shared an unbeaten 98-run stand for the fourth wicket to win the match.
In another encounter at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Bhuban Karki's five-wicket haul helped Nepal Red restrict Nepal Green on 171/10 in 44.3 overs to after posting 187/10 in 42 overs.
Player-of-the-match Bhuban bagged five wickets giving away 39 runs in 9.3 overs, while Kumar Thapa claimed three and Sagar Pun took remaining two wickets for Nepal Red.
Earlier, Nepal Red scored 187 runs after Anil Kumar Mandal (27 off 55) and Sagar (32 off 32) added 57 runs for the second wicket and the pair of Dilip Nath (30 off 53) and Prashanna Shakya (38 off 34) shared 66-run stand for the sixth wicket. Skipper Paras Khadka's 26 runs from 34 balls was also vital for Nepal Red.
Prithu Baskota claimed four wickets, while Karan KC and Basant Regmi picked up three wickets each.
On Monday, Nepal Blue will play Nepal Red at TU Ground and Nepal Green will face Nepal Grey at Pulchowk.
