Medical Superintendent Dr. Dipendra Raman Singh is the only doctor holding permanent position at the hospital while the rest of the posts are lying vacant till date. [break]
Although there are posts for 18 physicians including general surgeon, physician, pediatrician, dermatologist, ENT specialist etc. at the hospital, the Government has not made appointment to these posts.
As a result of this, the patients are facing difficulty availing of all the medical services at the hospital. The people have to go to the Indian towns across the border for treatment. Some 200 patients come daily to the hospital for check-up and treatment.
