One swept by river in Kalikot

JUMLA, July 30: Dal Bahadur Budha, 28, of Bolu village in Nenikot VDC, Kalikot, died after being swept away by a local river Thursday night, according to police in Kalikot.



Budha was working in a water mill when he was swept by the river.



Flooding by the river also swept away a micro-hydro project building constructed at a cost of Rs 4 million with the joint effort of a non-governmental organization, and free labor by locals.



Meanwhile, Ram Bahadur Air, 90, of Jhalari-4, Kanchanpur has gone missing while crossing the Gharkatuwa river on Friday morning. His walking stick was found near the river.



Relatives searched for him up to 25 km down from where he tried to cross the river, but in vain. They haven´t given up hope as search is on.
