The deceased Phurba Lama, 25, of Ramechaap. He was killed on the spot.[break]
Following the incident, locals obstructed transport services on the six-lane road along the Arniko Highway, protesting the incident. The transport services have resumed after police intervened in the protest.
The bus (Ba 2 Kha 8866) was en route to Bhaktapur from Ratnapark, when the mishap occurred.
His body has been sent to Bhaktapur hospital for postmortem.
