Ashok Adhikari, 40, died on-the -spot when his motorcycle Na 9 Pa 5893 was hit by the WB 15 -9919 tanker, said District Police Office Parsa.
Pillion rider Kamal Patel, who sustained minor injury is undergoing treatment at Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital Birgunj.
The relatives of the deceased have been protesting the incident demanding compensation by obstructing the road since morning.
