Officials directed to materialize PM's commitment

KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Officials of the Ministry of Information and Communications and different bodies under the Ministry on Thursday held discussions regarding the steps to be taken by the offices concerned to materialize the Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai’s commitment to control corruption, good-governance, socio-economic transformation and writing of the new constitution by maintaining strong security order.



During the meeting, Secretary at the Ministry Shreedhar Gautam directed the officials to work with collective efforts, and maintain mutual relation and coordination to minimize complaints and weaknesses in all bodies under the Ministry to fulfill the commitments made by PM Bhattarai. [break]



Gautam drew attention of all officials to work in a transparent manner from their sides.



Chiefs of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Gorkhapatra Corporation, Radio Nepal, Nepal Telecom, Nepal Television, Department of Information, Department of Printing, Department of Postal Services and others were present.



Earlier, Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai had urged the top leaders of the major political parties to join the government and support the government’s steps taken to address the burning issues of the hour.



On Tuesday, PM Dr Bhattarai had also directed the secretaries of the government to bring relief programs for the people within a month.
