The DAO provided Rs. 5,000 for the houses that were completely damaged due to the quake tremors on September 18. [break]
Similarly, the office distributed Rs. 3,000 and 1,200 to the houses that had partial damages and minor damages, respectively, said Chief District Officer Madhusudhan Burlakoti.
The quakes completely damaged 36 houses while 99 houses were partially damaged and 121 houses have minor damages.
Meanwhile, the smart cell service of Nepal Telecom that has been providing services only in the rural areas of the district also extended its services in the district´s trade center Trishuli.
After the extension of the service, the villagers in Madanpur, Belkot, Jiling, Charghare, Khadgabhanjyang, Tupche, Kalyanpur, Gerkhu and other VDCs will enjoy the smart cell service in the district.
