Number of FM reaches 422

KATHMANDU, March 20: Total number of FM radios in the country has reached 422 till March 13, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications.



Of the total registered FM stations, 317 have been transmitting regular services. [break]



As many as 11 FM stations received license in the last month to operate transmission services.



Similarly, number of televisions operating their services throughout the country has reached 37.



Assistant Spokesperson at the Ministry, Hemraj Bhusal, said the Ministry issued license of transmission to Palpa-based Shreenagar Television, Mission Star Television of Kavre and Nepal Mandal Television, Lalitpur, in the last month.



Likewise, number of cable operators has reached 730.
