Chief of the Student Welfare and Sports Department of the TU, Ganga Bahadur Thapa, offered fruit juice to the students of the NSU and the student representatives who were staging fast-onto-death thereby making them end the protest.[break]
The NSU had started the relay huger strike two weeks ago which turned to fast-onto death since last Thursday with the demand that the FSU election be held this year.
According to spokesperson of the NSU, UP Lamichhane the NSU had started the protest after the TU failed to hold the election for the last four years though it is held every two year in the colleges under the TU.
