Judo coach Manoj KC, Rishi Ram Pradhan and Rajesh Karmacharya shed light on the rules as well as the points system of the game. Player Ranju Rai and Sushila Adhikari demonstrated the techniques of the game.

President of Nepal Judo Association Deepak Harsa Bajracharya inaugurated the training session and stated that the training will help journalists know the game better.

NSJF Secretary Hemanta Kafle said that journalists have a daunting task to cover over 100 different sports and the lack of detailed knowledge always posed a hurdle.

However, such training would help them understand the sport better. NSJF president Niranjan Rajbanshi said that after the training we can expect analytical news about judo rather than mere result based news.

He further said that the training was the first step toward acquiring knowledge about all other sports in Nepal. Altogether 25 journalists had participated in the training.
