According to NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista, the sports' governing body has recommended that 14 players of the team should be honored with Rs 200,000 each, while coach, manager and physiotherapist should get Rs 100,000 each.Nepal youth team claimed the title of the ICC U-19 World Cup Qualifiers held in Malaysia on October 15-22 and qualified for the final to be held in Bangladesh from 22 January to 14 February next year.
Nepal beat Ireland by three wickets in the final to claim the title and secure berth in the youth World Cup for the seventh occasions.
Nepali team consists of skipper Raju Rijal, vice-captain Arif Sheikh, Sunil Dhamala, Sandeep Sunar, Rajbir Singh, Dipendra Singh Airee, Saurabh Khanal, Prem Tamang, Sushil Kandel, Dipesh Shrestha, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Kushal Bhurtel, Shankar Rana, and Yogendra Karki.
Jagat Tamata is the coach of the team, while Dhirendra Saud is the manager and Dinesh Bhatt is the physiotherapist.
Meanwhile, NSC also recommended that Mira Rai be honored with Rs 100,000 for securing first position in the Ultra Race of 82 km held in France on June 28.
