Most of the government offices have failed to deliver information to the people about their happenings. [break]
Similarly, it was revealed that the Chief of the Eastern Road Division Office, the office that manages the transaction of million rupees each year, is unaware of the implementation of the Right to Information Act and other legal provisions as well.
The RTI guarantees the people´s right to information from the public bodies.
Likewise, most of the chiefs of the government offices here in district were unaware of the RTI.
Secretary of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Ilam chapter, Ashok Kumar Bantawa, said the government should issue order to the district offices to disseminate information of public importance.
