"Now the NC should be allowed to lead the government. But this does not me that the Nepali Congress is power hungry," said Koirala.
Koirala, who has recently been blamed by Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal for the present stalemate, accused Dahal of trying to “run away” from the current problems facing the country.

Inaugurating the convention of Ilam municipality committee of the party, Koirala also accused the UCPN (Maoist) of not abiding by past agreements.
"The Maoist party should own the responsibility for the present situation," said Koirala.
Earlier, addressing a press meet organized by Nepal Press Union, Koirala dismissed allegations that the party is against federalism.
Speaking at the same function, Nepali Congress central committee member Dr Minendra Rijal asked the UCPN (Maoist) not to drag the president in any controversy. Similarly, another central committee member Gagan Thapa said that a new constitution would be possible only after a new election is held.
Meanwhile, supporters of Limbuwan Rajya Parishad and ethnic youths waved black flags at Koirala and other leaders, accusing them of being against federalism.
