Speaking on the occasion, Mishra commented on five chapters of the book, “The different essays of the book is based on the relationship between father and son, husband and wife, between brothers and addresses the circumstances and the changing relationships within a family.”

Mishra also recited few extracts from the essays. Talking about one of the essays of the book titled, “Chori ra Birali,” Mishra pointed out how through the story of a cat and its kittens, the essay actually unfolds the experiences of the writer himself.

Another essay, “Ekal jiwan ka cha mahina,” exposes the life of the writer in the absence of his children and wife when they were in States.

“The common point, however, in all the essays are the interests of the parents for their children, especially when it comes to their studies.”

Other issues addressed by Sangraula are how the society is changing, how our country is connected to the outside world, its impact and how it is affecting families and societies as a whole.

“For any piece of literature to be popular or for the intellectual output to be durable, it needs immediacy. This is how we can find Sangraula’s essays to be relevant to our society and somehow we all can relate to it.”

Writer Abhi Subedi explained how he could relate with Sangraula’s writing, “Kindness, revolution and humor are the three things that we can find in this collection.”

He further added that the time when the essays were written is important.

Moreover, every essay has its own specialty and the essays have been written through the perspective of a conscious rebel and with full freedom.

Subedi added that the essay portrays with humor, the hypocritical society that we live in, the political upheaval and it also moves from the macro issues to micro issues prevalent in the society which are symbolic.

“People have their own ways of interpreting what the writers have to say and the writers too have responsibilities. My essays are about the relationship with my family, the people that I have come across, my friends, my teachers and it incorporates all my experiences,” said Sangraula.
