KATHMANDU, June 5: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 11.37 points on Friday to close at 2,755.41.
Most sectoral indices ended in the red, with the exception of finance, hotels and tourism, mutual funds, and trading. Shares of 184 companies lost value during the session. Investors in Forest Inn suffered the biggest loss, with the company's share price falling 4.22 percent.

Meanwhile, share prices of 74 companies advanced. Kalinchowk Hydropower hit the positive circuit limit, emerging as one of the day's top gainers.
Despite the decline in the benchmark index, market turnover increased significantly. Total transactions reached Rs 5.62 billion, up from Rs 4.70 billion recorded on Thursday.
Aakhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company posted the highest turnover of the day, with shares worth Rs 556.9 million traded. City Hotel followed with transactions totaling Rs 195.9 million.
