Civa Bhusal, who’s pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, says, “Ever since I came to Kathmandu, I haven’t been able to watch Nepali programs on TV. But back home in Chitwan, I used to watch a lot of Nepali programs. ‘Call Kantipur’ on Kantipur TV remains my favorite. ‘Saajha Sawal’ by BBC Network, ‘Tito Satya’ on NTV and any comedy program by Maha Jodi are on the top of my list. I love watching these shows. However, I do miss the lack of good sports program on Nepali TV channels.”
Kuber Sodari, 20, from Himalayan College of Engineering says that he usually doesn’t have much time to sit down and watch a TV program. But whenever he has free time, he surfs channels until he finds something that interests him. “But having said that, I do enjoy shows like ‘Tito Satya’, ‘Saajha Sawal’, ‘Power News’ on News24 and ‘Aaannn’, the new comedy series of Maha Jodi. I like the fact that these shows focus on important issues that is affecting the country and makes a light comedy out of it,” he says.
