KATHMANDU, Oct 5: Nepal will face Jordan in its last match of the AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers being held in Iran. The match between Nepal and Jordan will be played at the Samen Al Aemeh Stadium, Mashhad.

The dead rubber match carries no significance for both the teams as both are already out from the race to qualify into the final rounds. Both teams do not have any realistic chance of finishing in the top two positions.Nepal faced 10-0 defeat against host Iran in its opener on Friday and played a 1-1 draw against Kuwait on Sunday. Jordan lost its opener against Kuwait by 2-1 and faced a 3-0 defeat at the hands of host Iran.

With only one match in hand, Nepal has one point, while Iran is leading the table with six points and Kuwait has four points. Jordan is yet to open account in the points table.

The humiliating defeat against Iran cost dear for Nepal as it needs to beat Jordan by a huge goal margin in its last match and Iran must also beat Kuwait for Nepal's second place finish. In the condition Nepal finishes group runner-up, it must be among one of the five best runners-up among all 10 groups to qualify for the next round.
