Nepali tourist drowns in Sri Lanka

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Sri Lankan police have found a body of a Nepali national who was drowned in the sea off Mount Lavinia on Thursday evening, colombopage.com reported.



Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekara said the tourist was swept away by the current when he was bathing in the sea off Mount Lavinia with a group of friends.



Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry has already informed the government of Nepal about the incident. The police, however, have not released the victim´s identity yet.
