Nepali girl killed in Tamil Nadu university

KATHMANDU, April 5: A Nepali student has been killed at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) after her shawl got stuck in a plant sample grinder machine at the research laboratory.



Srijana Gaire, 25, daughter of Chandrakanta Gaire from Kathmandu, a second-year MSc Soil Science and Agricultural student, was killed after her shawl got entangled in the machine, strangulating her, the New Indian Express reported.[break]



According to the report, she had gone to the laboratory Tuesday evening but she was, later, found lying on the floor. It added that she was then rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced her ´brought dead’.



Her body has been kept in the mortuary at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. The autopsy will be performed on Thursday.
