The deceased has been identified as Dukhiya Kapad, 40, of Jaleswor municipality-8.
Kapad, who has been to Punjab of India every year during the period of paddy plantation, died of snakebite on the spot while he was working in the paddy field, said his neighbour Ramji Mandal.
