KATHMANDU, Sept 9: After winning all four matches in row, Nepal will lock horns against Denmark during its last match of the round robin league on Sunday in the ICC World Cricket League Division 4 being held in Malaysia.

Though Nepal is on the top of points table maintaining its cent percent winning run, it has not yet confirmed its place in the final, which is the door to Division 3. However, Nepal has almost qualified and needs only formality for qualification.[break]

Nepal is also assumed to be favorite against Denmark and this is the first time that the two teams are meeting in a 50-over match. Nepal will be barred from the final and promotion to Division-3 if it loses with huge margin, provided that Singapore beats America. If America beats Singapore than Nepal will secure promotion and place in the final whatever the results against Denmark.

Nepal and Denmark had played in the World T20 Qualifiers earlier this year in March and defeated Denmark by nine wickets. Shakti Gauchan had claimed first hat-trick for Nepal in men´s international cricket and four in total.

Among participating 16 teams Nepal had finished seventh on the occasion while Denmark had finished at the bottom of table.

Nepal has maintained a good run in the tournament since the beginning and is expected to continue in the same manner. On Friday, Nepal defeated United States of America by 32 runs with brilliant batting performance from Subash Khakurel and bowling display from Basanta Regmi. Before this, Nepal had defeted Singapore by five wickets and Tanzania by eight and Malaysia by 10 wickets.

If Denmark achieves victory over Nepal, it will still have the chance of promotion to next division. Nepal is on the top with eight points; Singapore and Denmark are in second and third places with three wins each from four matches played. The US is on the fourth spot with four points. Tanzania and Malaysia have already been relegated to Division 5 after losing all the four matches they played.

"We have arrived here to win the title and we don´t want to lose any match," Nepal´s Canadian coach Pubudu Dassanayake said, adding, "We won´t take the opponent lightly and will be playing for a win." This is the first tournament that Nepali team is competing under Dasannayake in the 50-over.
