Nepal-India Tourism Mart begins

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Post Bahadur Bogati and Ambassador of India to Nepal Jayant Prasad jointly inaugurated the first ever Nepal-India two-day Tourism Mart 2013 in Lumbini on Tuesday.



The Mart organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Tourism Board and the Indian Embassy, Kathmandu is being participated by government officials and travel trade of the two countries, said a press statement issued by Indian Embassy in Kathmandu. [break]



The main objective of the event is to promote the Buddhist sites of both the two countries, interactions between the tourism entrepreneurs of both countries and to expand business network.







In addition to Indian participants from Bihar, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, Nepali tourism entrepreneurs from Dhangadi, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini and Bhairahawa are participating in the event.



There will be business to business session (B2B) among the tourism entrepreneurs of the two countries on Wednesday, according to the statement.
