Nepal, chasing 259 runs, was bowled out for 136 runs in 43.5 overs despite tail-ender Prem Tamang remaining not out on 65 runs off 91 balls, which included a six and 11 boundaries.
Skipper Raju Rijal scored 15 runs facing 34 balls with two fours and Sushil Kandel added 10 runs facing 62 balls.
Nepal started its run chase in a disastrous manner losing five wickets with only 29 runs on board. Once Nepal was 67/8, but Prem shared a 44-run stand with Sushil and added 35 runs with Sandeep Lamichhane, who failed to score despite facing six balls.
Hasan Mohsin bagged the highest four wickets to restrict Nepal, while Irfan Liaqat and Saif Ali claimed two wickets each.
Earlier, Pakistan, being invited to bat first, scored 258/8 in the allotted 50 overs after Hasan scored 117-run off only 106-ball and Saif Badar added 88 runs facing 118 balls. Hasan cracked three sixes and eight fours, while Saif hit a six and six boundaries.
Nepal had impressed with the ball at the beginning, taking three wickets in 13.2 overs giving only 30 runs, however, Hasan and Saif shared a 189-run stand to anchor Pakistani innings and put the Test playing nation in comfortable zone.
Sandeep Lamichhane claimed the highest three wickets, while Aarif Sheikh and Dipendra Airee pocketed two wickets each. Sushil Kandel picked up a wicket for Nepal.
Now, Nepal will play the seventh place play-off on Thursday against the loser of the match between England and Namibia scheduled for Wednesday.
