A meeting between Xinhua News Agency Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau based in Hong Kong, President Ju Mengjun led delegation and RSS Chairman Kula Chandra Wagle, General Manager Shreeram Singh Basnet among senior journalists at RSS Central Office in the capital city stressed on strengthening Nepal-China ties through the medium of mass communication.
On the occasion, RSS General Manager Basnet said the national news agency was preparing to present a proposal to the government to host a photo exhibition reflecting the diverse dynamism of Nepal-China relations and carry out research based news stories on development projects run under Chinese investment coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
President Ju responded saying he viewed the RSS' appeal for training opportunities for its journalists and staffs in a positive light and that Xinhua stood ready to collaborate with RSS for providing training and for development of human resources.
Ju expressed confidence the intensive collaboration between Xinhua and RSS and through the medium of news would help further consolidate existing relations between the two countries.
