The electricity supply has been disrupted in the13 VDCs, including Jayanagar, Buddhi,Rajpur,Mahendrakot, Dubiya, Barkulpur, and Birpur, and Chandrauta-Gorusinge area after the staffers did not bother to repair the electricity distribution line in the area. Locals blamed the NEA staffers at Chandrauta and Imiliya branch offices for ignoring the maintenance of the distribution line. [break]
Krishna Poudel, the No 4 electricity Sub-station In-charge in the district, informed that the over a dozen of VDCs pushed to complete blackouts due to the inaction from the staffers of the concerned branch.
“The problem occurred as the concerned branch office has been trying to supply power without addressing the problems in distribution lines,” said Poudel.
According to a source, staffers even to not obey the order from the Rajkumar Raman, the head of Krishnanagar branch of NEA. “How the in-charge, who does not attend the office regularly, would know where the problems lie,” the source told.
Meanwhile, the locals in Chandrauta blamed the Chandrata Sub-Station office imposing extra hours of power outage. Sanjaya Pandey, a local, said that the office has imposing 7 hours of daily power cut - three hours of extra load-shedding a day.
Pandey also informed that the staffers in the office put the telephone receiver aside so that they would not have to face the public ire on telephone call.
Rajendra Srivastav, the head of NEA branch office in Taulihawa, informed that they have been facing problems of electricity supply. He also promised to start the effort to solve the problems immediately.
