Ncell to introduce BlackBerry

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: BlackBerry, one of the world´s most popular handsets, is being introduced in the Nepali market within a month.



Though the BalckBerry phone set is not completely new to Nepali customers as a variety of such sets are flown in from the international market -- some even using the Indian SIM card to get the access of the Blackberry services -- Nepali users will soon enjoy its well-acclaimed services.[break]



Now, the Blackberry services will soon be available in the market in an affordable price and tariffs through Spice Nepal Private Limited, a leading private-owned mobile operator in Nepal popularly knows as Ncell. According to Ncell officials, Blackberry services along a Blackberry handset the will be available to its postpaid customers under a contract scheme.



Blackberry has over 21,000,000 users worldwide and it is among most trusted and preferred wireless service. Blackberry is more of a wireless network that keeps the user updated everywhere and every time through the internet. The services provided by Blackberry can be generally categorized into two different types -- Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) and Blackberry Enterprise Service (BES).



BIS services include the general internet facilities, networking and others. The BES includes the personal BlackBerry email ID, BlackBerry messenger and other security systems.



Blackberry´s push technology delivers messages in seconds and users can add up to 10 corporate or personal email accounts in BlackBerry. It has unlimited email quota. Wireless email synchronization also allows easy attachment viewing. Users can download multi task download documents while on conference call or during an instant messaging chat.



BlackBerry Business Solutions provide a combination of applications, services and peripherals, including printers, signature capture, GPS (Global Positioning System), digital forms and barcode scanners.



“BlackBerry is for people who have to juggle personal as well as professional life and work from wherever they need and want,” said Sanju Koirala, the corporate communication manager of Spice Nepal Pvt Ltd.



Even if one already owns a Blackberry headset, the Spice Nepal will provide its services to the customers. “The difference between buying the handset from us and from others is that we will provide warranty in handsets as well,” said an official of Spice Nepal.



“Many people still think that Blackberry is just a handset and we want people to know that the smartphone is much more than a handset,” he explained.
