KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Ncell has partnered with Super Krishak, a digital agriculture platform developed by Gham Power Nepal, to provide premium digital agriculture services to farmers across Nepal.

The collaboration aims to make technology-driven agricultural support accessible to farmers nationwide through mobile phones, according to a press statement by Ncell.

Super Krishak currently has over 30,000 registered farmers across the country. The platform offers digital tools and services including online agriculture training, Krishi Doctor and Krishi Cheena (satellite monitoring), enabling farmers to receive real-time agricultural advice, pest and disease diagnosis, and crop monitoring insights via mobile phones.

According to the company, the partnership enables farmers in all districts to access advanced, affordable and locally appropriate agricultural support digitally, the statement reads.

With Ncell’s nationwide network coverage, Super Krishak’s premium services will be available as a value-added telecom service. Farmers can access the services using their mobile balance, similar to paying for voice, data or SMS services.

Under the subscription model, farmers can pay Rs 13 every three days for a one-year package costing a total of Rs 1,560. For a six-month package worth Rs 840, farmers will need to pay Rs 14 every three days.

Alternatively, farmers can make a one-time payment of Rs 756 for six months or Rs 1,248 for one year. Charges will be deducted directly from the subscriber’s main balance upon subscription.

The premium services include step-by-step training modules on modern farming practices, an AI-powered pest and disease detection system covering more than 800 crop issues, and real-time personalized advisory services in local languages, the company said.

Ncell and Super Krishak aim to reach over 120,000 farmers within the first year of launch.
