Ncell largest tax paying company: NTA

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: Ncell has topped the list of largest tax paying telecom operators in the fiscal year 2012/13 as per the unedited report published by Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) -- the telecom service regulator.



Till last fiscal year, Nepal Telecom (NT) has been in the top list of the tax paying companies. According to the latest report published by Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) -- the telecom service regulator, Ncell has paid tax and royalty worth Rs 20.76 billion while NT has paid Rs 13.39 billion.[break]



 Likewise, United Telecom has stood third among the telecom operators and has paid tax and royalty of Rs 584.27 million. Similarly, Smart Telecom has paid Rs 334.75 million, Nepal Satellite Telecom has paid Rs 193.86 million and STM Telecom Sanchar has paid Rs 73.45 million tax and royalty.
