NC urges to forward constitution amendment proposal

KATHMANDU, Nov 8: The Parliamentary Party meeting of the Nepali Congress has urged the government to table the constitution amendment proposal in the parliment so as to resolve the Tarai problem as soon as possible. The proposal was forwarded by the NC-led government in the past.

The amendment proposal was registered in the house to amend the provision of the constitution for allocating the constituencies on the issues of inclusiveness, proportional representatives and population.Similarly, the PP meeting held at the Legislature-Parliament building today further urged the government to forward reconstruction authority bill to expedite the reconstruction projects.

NC central member Narhari Acharya shared that the meeting urged the government to take diplomatic measures to end the undeclared border blocked imposed by India.

The meeting has urged the protesting parties to come to the dialogue table and parliamentary process after ending their protests.

After following the meeting NC senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the party will play constructive role of an opposition. RSS
