Talking to media persons at Tribhuvan International Airport before his departure, NC President Koirala said adversity in the country seen after the promulgation of new constitution should be addressed through talks and discussions.
The ongoing Tarai/Madhes agiation has inflicted the country and the government seriousness was expected to resolve this problem, the former Prime Minister said, adding that genuine demands of the Madhes centric parties could be addressed through constitutional amendments and the Congress was ready to cooperate with the government towards that end.He underlined the need of activating the National Reconstruction Authority formed to carry out post- earthquake reconstruction efforts.
NC President will undergo medical checkup at the US-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Though suggested for visiting the Center for regular checkup every four months, his visit was delayed by some nine months due to country's political situation. RSS
