Party leader Narahari Acharya said he has already talked to party acting president Sushil Koirala to call the meeting soon. Central members have demanded the meeting for Sunday.

Another leader Chakra Prasad Bastola said majority of the party leaders are in favor of holding the CWC meeting at the earliest possible date. “We will demand the party leadership to call the general convention at the earliest if they fail to call the central meeting by tomorrow,” he said.

Sources said a majority of central members are miffed at the claims and counter-claims made by the party´s three senior leaders -- Sushil Koirala, Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Poudel -- over the leadership of the party after the demise of party president GP Koirala.
